Dear Friends, Supporters, Customers, and Followers,
Today, we are writing to share an important update about the future of Hydration Station.
After much reflection, our founding team has made the difficult decision to formally close Hydration Station Charity Corp.
As we prepare to graduate from our universities and begin the next chapters of our lives and careers, we have had to consider what responsible stewardship of this organization looks like. The communities we serve deserve consistent care, attention, and long-term commitment. While our passion for Hydration Station remains as strong as ever, we know we can no longer provide the level of leadership and support that this mission deserves.
This decision was not made lightly.
When we launched Hydration Station, we believed access to clean drinking water was something worth fighting for. What began as an idea grew into a movement supported by an incredible community of people who believed in that mission alongside us. Because of your generosity, encouragement, and trust, we were able to install Hydration Stations across the city of Evansville, distribute reusable water bottles in association with local non-profits, educate young people about water accessibility, and make a tangible difference in the communities we served.
None of this would have been possible without each and every one of you.
To every donor, sponsor, volunteer, partner organization, customer, follower, and advocate: thank you. Whether you made a financial contribution, attended an event, purchased a Give Back Bottle, shared one of our posts, offered advice, connected us with a partner, or simply cheered us on from the sidelines, you played a role in our story. Every act of support, no matter the size, helped move our mission forward.
We are incredibly proud of what we accomplished together. More importantly, we are grateful for the relationships, friendships, and shared commitment to service that made this journey so meaningful.
While Hydration Station is coming to a close, the impact we created together will continue. The stations installed, the conversations started, and the people reached through this work remain a testament to what can happen when a community comes together around a common purpose.
We also want to share where things stand today. Right now, we are in the process of finding new stewards to care for our stations, and we are grateful to say that this work is well underway. The good news is that the majority of Hydration Stations will remain right where they are and continue serving their respective communities, even as ownership changes hands.
During this transition, you may notice that a few stations are in need of some maintenance. We want to be honest about why. As we work to find the right long-term homes for each station, our resources remain tied to the handoff process, and they will stay that way until each transfer of ownership is final. We ask for your patience and grace in this in-between moment. Every station means a great deal to us, and we are committed to seeing each one cared for as it passes into trusted hands.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in us. Thank you for supporting our mission. Thank you for helping us build something that mattered.
With gratitude,
The Hydration Station Team
